​Morse Donaldson

​Morse Donaldson is an American dancer, choreographer, actor, director, and independent author based in Atlanta, Georgia. Trained in classical ballet at The Juilliard School, Donaldson performed with major American modern dance ensembles and founded the Morse Donaldson Dance Theater in 1975. Beyond concert dance and theater, he has staged performances and music videos for prominent R&B and pop recording artists, served as an executive at New Sirius Pictures, LLC, and authored books on alternative history and esoteric theology.

​Early life and education

​Donaldson studied classical ballet at The Juilliard School in New York City from 1961 to 1964. He later pursued further education in accounting and computer science at the United College of Business.

​Career

​Dance, theater, and concert staging

​During the 1960s and 1970s, Donaldson performed as a dancer and actor across various American modern dance and theatrical companies, including the José Limón Dance Company, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, the Negro Ensemble Company, and the New York Shakespeare Festival.

​In 1975, he established his own troupe, the Morse Donaldson Dance Theater (also known as the Morse Donaldson Dance Company), which toured and performed across the United States, including appearances at the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival and events tied to the National Black Arts Festival. Notable dancers, such as choreographer Elisa Monte, performed with his company early in their careers.

​Throughout his career in commercial entertainment, Donaldson staged concert appearances, theatrical routines, and music videos for prominent musical artists, including Ashford & Simpson, Natalie Cole, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Roberta Flack, Stephanie Mills, Melba Moore, Dionne Warwick, Cameo, and Glenn Jones.

​Media production

​Donaldson relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where he served as President and CEO of New Sirius Pictures, LLC, engaging in independent film, media, and theater production.

​Writing and publishing

​In 2018, Donaldson published independent research works via Amazon examining alternative history, afrocentric revisionist narratives, and esoteric spirituality.
