  • Fixing Broken Web Links: AI tools automatically scour the web to repair dead citations using archive databases like the Wayback Machine.
  • Lowering the Barrier for Beginners: The learning curve to become a Wikipedia editor can be steep. Automated "co-pilots" now help mentor new editors, suggesting beginner-friendly tasks, formatting complex wikitext, and explaining community guidelines in plain language.

​4. Championing the Value of Human Consensus

​An AI can summarize existing facts, but it cannot attend a local town hall, interpret original historic records, or negotiate a neutral consensus on complex, controversial topics.

​By pushing tech platforms for clear source attribution and championing the irreplaceable value of human oversight, Wikipedia is proving that no matter how smart AI becomes, the world still needs a human-curated record of truth.
