Wikimedia Commons is a great resource for finding free, high-quality images for your presentations. Here's how to upload a group of photos:

1. Create a Wikimedia Commons Account:

2. Navigate to the Upload Wizard:

Once logged in, click on the "Upload file" link in the left-hand sidebar. This will take you to the upload wizard.

3. Select Your Files:

Click on the "Select media files to share" button.

Locate the folder on your computer where your photos are stored.

Use the Shift or Ctrl (or Command on Mac) keys to select multiple photos at once.

Click "Open" to upload the selected files.

4. Provide Metadata:

Title: Give each photo a clear and descriptive title.

Description: Provide a detailed description of the photo, including relevant information like location, date, and any specific details.

Author: Enter the name of the person who took the photo.

License: Choose the appropriate license for your photos. Wikimedia Commons primarily uses Creative Commons licenses. If you're the copyright holder, you can choose a license like CC BY-SA 4.0, which allows others to share and modify your work.

Categories: Add relevant categories to help others find your photos.

5. Upload Your Photos:

Once you've filled in all the necessary information, click "Next" to upload your photos.

Tips:

Compress your images: Large image files can take longer to upload and may slow down your presentation. Consider using a tool like ImageOptim to compress them without losing quality.

Use descriptive filenames: Give your files informative names that reflect their content.

Review your uploads: After uploading, double-check that all the metadata is correct and that the images appear as expected.

By following these steps, you can easily upload a group of photos to Wikimedia Commons and make them available for use in your presentations and other projects.
